Multiple studies from various countries of patients struggling with Covid-19 have shown the lower one’s serum vitamin D level the more likely they will succumb to Covid-19. NHANES data shows American blood levels of vitamin D are going down. As a powerful hormone, vitamin D supports the immune system in stimulating peptides and proteins that fight infection and assist in turning down an over-active cytokine response – both involved in the fight for survival against Covid-19. Optimal blood level of vitamin D is 70. Mine is 80. What is your level?
